BARBARA GAMAGE .. Barbara Gamage was the daugher of John Gamage of Coity or Coety, Glamorganshire and Gwenllian Powell. There was fierce competition for her hand in marriage, but on September 23, 1584, she married Robert Sidney they wed only two hours before the arrival of a royal decree forbidding the match.
